  • Multiple Use Options You can do more than just web surf with Wi-Fi. Other uses include creating interactivity between your PC and other devices such as a TiVo®, DVD player or home audio system.
  • IS YOUR COMPUTER READY? In order to use Wi-Fi, you must have a computer or PDA that has Wi-ficonnectivity already installed. You can convert most portable computers to Wi-fiusing an adapter that plugs into a PC card slot or USB port. You also need broadband access to gain fast speeds.



    WHICH WI-fiIS FOR YOU?
    Wi-ficonnectivity is available in three different types: 802.11b is the current standard and is backwards compatible so you can use some older equipment types. Some consumer electronics use another standard-802.11a. The third type, 802.11g, is the fastest, transferring data at speeds up to 54 Megabits per second.
